Mindfulness and Soulfulness
Event details
To deepen the capacity of mindfulness to support us, we need a way of dealing with all aspects of ourselves and our challenges—both shadow and light. In this retreat we will explore how to co-create an introductory community of reflection on the quality of what Rhonda Magee calls “Mindful-Soulfulness.” This quality hinges on the cultural phenomenon of “Soul” as developed in the context of the American South in the wake of the Civil Rights Movement—with a particular focus on its relationship to a more robust mindfulness. Are you willing to play with poetry-work, singing, and dancing? Join us, and bring a friend!
Online Only: We are offering this program online via Zoom for you to join us remotely.
