It refers to the first establishment: contemplating the body. If explored more deeply, and in conjunction with the other three – contemplating feelings, mind and the path to clarity and freedom, the identified practices can support the development of insight and wisdom more capable of navigating both the internal and external challenges of a rapidly changing world. Offered by Rhonda V. Magee. Magee is trained in a variety of approaches, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and is a life-long student of more traditional teachings, including Zen and early Buddhism. A law professor and innovator of socially-engaged mindfulness practices, she teaches contemplative approaches to law and offers mindfulness-based practices and pedagogy at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
