Celebrating Goodness and Rooted Wellbeing

Deepening the Roots of Wellbeing

In the last Session, we practiced cultivating beginner’s mind. [….]

This week we’ll [deepen our capacity for joy and positive engagement with others in a changing world by deepening our willingness to actually begin again].

Video presentation:

Reflection:

This reflection prompts you to pause and celebrate the good – even in the midst of so much difficulty and distress. In it, you will be encouraged to incorporate wholesome appreciation of the good in your life as an aspect of your regular practice. And it introduces the practice of the “dedication of merits” as one of the ways we can adopt a daily practice of sending prayers of wellbeing based on the actions we completed on that day.

Meditation:

This is a 30 minute Guided Meditation on the practice of grounded joy and acknowledgment of the good that comprises our daily lives. It builds on the establishment of mindfulness in the body, feelings, mind and dharma, and encourages the realization of the celebration-worthiness of a conscious breath. By celebrating the simple pleasure of being alive, on a regular basis, we incline ourselves toward a wholesome ability to feel contentment. We close by dedicating the merits, the goodness of your practicing and learning here for the benefit of the world.
